hCG Levels at 15 DPO
By 15 DPO, hCG levels in a progressing pregnancy are typically in the range of 200–1,000 mIU/mL. For early implanters, levels may be considerably higher. For those who implanted at 12 DPO, levels may be on the lower end of this range but still clearly detectable.
At 15 DPO, virtually all viable pregnancies produce hCG levels high enough to give a clearly positive result on any standard home pregnancy test.
How Reliable Is a 15 DPO Result?
A positive at 15 DPO is highly reliable. You are now past the day of your expected period, and hCG levels are well established. False positives at this stage are very rare and typically linked to specific medical circumstances.
A negative at 15 DPO with a missed period is less common than earlier in the luteal phase, but can still occur with very late implantation (12 DPO or later). If you have a negative at 15 DPO with no period, retest in 2–3 days and consult your doctor if the situation continues.

What If the Line Is Still Faint at 15 DPO?
A faint line at 15 DPO, while less common than at 12–13 DPO, can still occur with very late implantation. If implantation occurred at 12 DPO, hCG has only been rising for about 3 days — levels may still be in the 100–200 mIU/mL range, producing a lighter line on standard tests.
Track your line progression with ClearLine. A line that is getting noticeably darker every 48 hours — even if it starts faint at 15 DPO — is a reassuring sign of a healthy rising hCG.
What to Do After a 15 DPO Result
With a positive result, contact your doctor or midwife to begin early prenatal care. You are approximately 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Begin or continue prenatal vitamins, and schedule your first appointment.
With a negative result and a missed period, wait 48–72 hours and retest. If the negative persists but your period still has not arrived, speak with your doctor — a blood hCG test can detect even very low levels of the hormone.
